OK guys, it's here. The book Butcher Knives and Body Counts is now available through Amazon! My article on Prom Night is just one of the many featured essays which reflect on the slasher genre. You will find lots of your fave bloggers and some famous folks too! C'mon everyone, it's the right thing to do and the tasty way to do it!

Sounds like a tasty read, Amanda! *adds to Amazon wish list* Look forward to checking it out. When I first became interested (obsessed) with horror cinema - it was through slasher movies; and they still have a big place in my heart.
the slasher genre has excellent films like Prom night or House on Sorority row but lots of crap like Graduation day and awful titles like the one with the girl of The love boat and other with Michael Ironside and William Shatner in a hospital
Francisco
pd backwoods horror or american gothic as they call it on Spain are slashers?
There's been a string of great slasher related books released the last 3-5 years. Thanks for the heads up!
Hey guys, thanks for commenting. I really think you'll enjoy the book. There's some excellent essays!
btw Anon, I LOVE Graduation Day, but I agree it's not a good film... in the traditional sense anyway, but it is a lot of fun.
I can confirm that this book (and Amanda's essay) is awesome!
Amanda, thanks for the heads up. Another book to add to the Prom Night bibliography, however short it may be (this will be the third by my count).
