Conan put Robert Urich in the hot seat (or rather, hawt seat) and jokingly asks him about the possessed bulldozer that only goes 15 miles an hour! This is a really fun clip, both Conan and Robert are great! Enjoy!
Oh, dear God. I'm a rabid fan of Theodore Sturgeon, on whose novella this TVM is based, so I was thrilled when I finally got the chance to see it. What a disappointment. Not bad enough to be good, and not good enough to be good.
Propagatrix, I agree. Killdozer is a letdown. I have never read Sturgeon, and I so want to. I have one of his books somewhere. One of my old writing teachers at UCLA swore by him.
Voyager, Yes, he's so cute and had a wonderful voice. And he was so funny in that clip. I believe he lived next door to Tom Selleck during the last years of his life and that they were good friends. Could imagine seeing the two of them together? It would be too much for my little heart! :)
That movie sounds hysterical! What a great clip - he was so handsome. Thanks for sharing it. My favorite blogs this week seem full of great guys who died way too young - sadness.
And yep, his show was called Spencer for Hire. Of course I remembered it about 3 hours after I made the comment...
Would you believe there was a planned follow up interview with Urich on Late Night? This time with footage provided by yours truly? Alas, it never came to pass. It'd take way to long to explain here, but you can follow the link to find out why it didn't happen.
Pam, I know. Robert left us way too soon. He was simply wonderful (and yummy!). His wife was Heather Menzies from Sound of Music. I did not know that. She runs an organization on his behalf.
Pete, Haha! That was one slow killing machine! :)
W.B. Thanks for that link!!! Oh man, what a great story. I am hoping to do a blog of links around the net, and I will include it! Thank you again!

LOL. 'Go in a cave and wait for it to run out of gas!' hahaha. Oh Robert Urich, so cute, really nice voice too!
