Peter Graves 1926 - 2010

We lost one of the greats. Peter Graves died today. His golden voice rings in my ears right now. What a wonderful actor with a stellar reputation as an all around good guy. I miss you already.

Here's a review I did at Camp Blood for his underrated Made for TV horror film Where Have All The People Gone?

Here's a review of Scream of the Wolf (by buzz)

My thoughts are with his family.

Awwww... I was sad to hear this, but sounds like he went peacefully and at home (not the hospital, which is never a good place to be even if you "ate the fish").

A sad loss, definitely. Graves played a major part in one of my first theatrical horror movie experiences as the narrator of the 1976 documentary The Mysterious Monsters. It was a look at the phenomenon of Bigfoot, Loch Ness Monster, and the Yeti and as ridiculous as it looks today, it scared me silly when I was seven.

Great post on an icon of TV. He was also a very underrated actor. Watch him in the key role of Price in Billy Wilder's STALAG 17. He will be missed. Thanks, Amanda.
